In aiming to be socially responsible we align our COVID Response Policies with the restrictions used for each alert level by our New Zealand government. Please read the following to understand how this may affect your appointments and visit, should Alert Levels change during your booking period or Treatment Programme.

We ask you kindly to take responsibility for your familiarity with our COVID Response Policy below.

Advaya’s Operating Updates

We publish updates on our practice’s responses to COVID Alert Levels periodically here.

COVID Tracer App – New Zealand Government

We post a NZ COVID Tracer App QR Code at the entrance of our practice. We make this code available for you to scan, should you wish to do so. We consider its use a choice you make and will not influence your preference either way. Your use of this code is your responsibility.

Please find more information on the display and use of the NZ COVID Tracer App and the posting of QR Codes by businesses here.

If you prefer to record your visits with the QR code but forgot to bring your scanning app, use the online version of our code published on this page. Use this online version with your mobile device as you would with a printed poster.

Please be aware that we maintain records of your online bookings. As covered by our Privacy Statement we will not disclose without your written consent your personal information to any third part, including government agencies.

Your Vaccination Choice

Advaya welcomes all clients, irrespective their vaccination choice. This means that we indiscriminately treat vaccinated and non-vaccinated clients. We will not ask you to disclose your vaccination choice but invite you to do so if you believe this is – or may be – consequential to your treatment.

Our policy should not be construed as a political statement but one that prioritizes your Human Rights. In that context, we will always respect your opinion about our vaccination policy and the choices you make accordingly.

In light of this policy, and to ensure your and our safety, we take additional precautions to reduce the presence of ill-making pathogens in our practice. Within reason, we believe we are maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards that are necessary to achieve this.

Our COVID Response Actions

For a practice like ours it is paramount to observe professional standards for hygiene. This requirement has become even more important in today’s COVID environments. We therefore aim to take all steps necessary to protect your and our well-being, including:

Clean Table and Tools – It is our standard practice to sanitize the surfaces of our treatment table after a client’s visit. This eliminates the presence of residues that came from a client’s immediate contact with our table. We observe strict professional sanitation standards for our tools and equipment.

Your Personal Hygiene – With your personal hygiene we kindly ask you to be more vigilant than normal. If you are unable to wash long hair we kindly request you use hair ties to bundle it. This reduces the need for additional cleaning and sanitation efforts, which benefits you and all other clients.

Hand Sanitation – We invite you to use the hand sanitizer we make available, especially to be used on arrival. Your therapist will use this solution frequently as well.

Table Linen – It is also our standard practice to change the top layers of our table linen for each client. We may use additional towels as an additional protective layer over our pillows and table linen.
