Earning Your Trust and Confidence

The scope and intent of our Code of Conduct is to define and guide the delivery of optimal therapeutic and practice quality of services that are safe, agreeable, and beneficial to you and ourselves. Our aim is to be not just bodywork therapists to you but trustworthy partners on your unique healing journey, for as long as you need us to be.

In all we do, our primary objective will always be to earn and maintain your trust and confidence in us. We believe that we must earn that daily, during each treatment, and through any interaction we have with you.

Our relationship with you

We will –

  • acknowledge and respect the inherent worth of your constituent physical, mental, and energetic aspects equally, and consider your sovereignty over these aspects absolute.

  • consider you equal to all others and are agnostic on opinions, beliefs, feelings, perspectives, status, or title and will not discriminate or behave in any prejudicial manner with you.

Scope of Business and Practice

We will –

  • act, interact, and behave with honestly, authenticity, and integrity, and always within the limitations of our licenses, accreditations, and qualifications. Should you require medical, clinical, or therapeutic services we cannot or refuse to provide, we will be happy to refer you to other alternative appropriate qualified health care professions.

  • represent our professional education and abilities honestly by displaying our current licenses, qualifications, and certificates for your viewing within our practice.

  • respect your unique and personal boundaries regarding privacy, disclosure, and emotional expression. We will always aim to meet your needs for comfort and privacy reasonably and to the best of our abilities.

  • request your consent explicitly for each proposed treatment, for which we will inform you openly, honestly, and with transparent communication prior and during your visits.

  • respect your right to refuse, modify, or terminate our services at any time before or during treatments, regardless of your prior consent to the contrary.

  • clearly display and/or disclose policies and fees in advance of services.

  • maintain our practice in a tidy, clean, and hygienic condition, and in safe and good repair.

  • strive to project a professional image for you, ourselves, our business and practice, and our therapeutic fields generally.

  • refrain from using any mind-altering substances that affect our judgement, concentration, and conduct during practice hours. This includes drugs, alcohol, or intoxicants.

  • follow personal hygiene and dress code principles that will not cause offense.

  • demonstrate through ongoing professional development a personal commitment to always achieving the highest quality of bodywork and somatic healing services.

We will not –

  • promote our spiritual, religious, and/or political alignment or association with any specific individual, organisation, body, party, group, collective, or movement other than with those that contribute scientific, clinical and medical, and regulatory value to our mutual commercial interests.

  • be affiliated with, or collectively or individually employed by, any business, practice, organisation, group, agency, or body that promotes and/or utilises forms of explicit sexuality, violence, socially and/or environmentally unsound, or law-breaching communications in its branding and/or in the actual practice of its services.

  • use bodywork and somatic healing practices, methods, techniques, and/or approaches that can explicitly be construed as sexual conduct.

  • knowingly interfere with any ongoing treatment instigated by another practitioner, and for commercial gains critique or criticise their conduct or services if this does not immediately concerns the protection and preservation of your health and wellbeing.

General

We will –

  • maintain your trust and confidence in us by prioritising confidentiality. Aligned with our Privacy Statement we will not share, divulge, publish, or quote you identifiably to others, except when required by law or where failure to do so would constitute a menace or danger to you, ourselves, or another member of the community.

  • display this Code of Ethics on our website and within our clinic for your viewing.

We will not –

  • knowingly or wilfully endanger your physical, mental or emotional health, well-being, or safety. However, this requires you to remain transparent and open about your existing health conditions and clinical or medical history. We invite you to read our page on contraindications to check which health conditions may or will be affected by our bodywork treatments and somatic therapies. The accurate and full completion of your Concern Sheet, and the timely provision of any information that (may) indicate an existing health issue, remains your responsibility.
