Premium Access to Last-Minute Bookings?

This journal introduces the re-introduction of our Telegram and WhatsApp Channels, which we discontinued in 2024. It is a warm invitation to you to rejoin these platforms, which offer simple, direct, and private ways for you to receive immediate updates when a booking slot reopens. This gives you membership to a first-to-know selection of clients who – perhaps like you – want to take fuller control over their self-care programme…

There is a quiet rhythm that forms the inner workings of Advaya Healing Bodywork. Some days unfold with a gentle steadiness, each session flowing into the next. Other days move like a tide – appointments shift, clients need to reschedule, unexpected openings appear, and the entire booking schedule reshapes itself – often in real time. Each practice day forms its own character, creates its own identity, and takes on a rhythm that’s never quite the same as that of any other day.

Over the last two years, and as Advaya Healing continued to grow into its own uniqueness, this rhythm has become more dynamic than ever. As more new clients begin their healing journeys with us, and as many of you continue to deepen your therapeutic work, our booking system fills now quicker than ever before.

“Throughout 2024 and 2025 it was not unusual for us to be booked out two or three weeks in advance. Now, many of you are booking four to six weeks ahead – some even eight to ten…”

With that ‘booking fullness’ come new challenges. New practice management issues to address. And now, with waves of bookings and web inquiries flooding in, one question surfaced as our top priority – how can we make enough room in our booking system to give you – and all our other clients – the bodywork and therapeutic care you need – and very much deserve?

Although it happens rarely, gaps in our booking system sometimes occur when clients like yourself need to cancel or reschedule their bodywork appointments. Despite our best attempts to fill these openings with waitlisted clients isn’t always easy. We therefore wondered: how do we keep ALL of you informed when last‑minute openings in our booking schedule suddenly become available?

Before we discontinued them, these channels had become easy ways for our clients to secure extra sessions and step in for cancelled appointments. They allowed them to convert their waitlisted bookings into confirmed sessions, and often sooner than expected.

As Advaya Healing Bodywork continued to grow, well ahead of our expectations, the reintroduction of communication tools such as Telegram and WhatsApp may have now become nothing but a necessary. Not just to stay connected with you, as was our previous intent in 2023 and 2024, but this time to support our aim to offer you optimal booking options, even when our booking system appears to be filled weeks ahead.

The Growing Demand for Bodywork in Uncertain Times

Over the past year, we have witnessed a noticeable shift in your bodywork needs. More of you requested bodywork not just for physical relief, but for emotional grounding, nervous‑system regulation, and a sense of embodied stability.

Reason?

We live in a world that feels increasingly unpredictable. This prompted most of you to book longer treatment programmes, to return more frequently at regular intervals, or to request additional sessions to receive more comprehensive support during periods of stress, transition, or – of course – healing breakthroughs.

New clients are now arriving at Advaya Healing every week – often referred by friends, family, or other practitioners. New clients now come to us from a seemingly ever-expanding region – now with some prepared to travel frequently from Palmerston North, Masterton, and Levin to receive treatments from us. Inquiries from people in Auckland and Tauranga increased significantly over the last 24 months. Advaya, so it seems, is making a name for itself across New Zealand.

Even with a full schedule, unexpected openings do happen. Rarely, but they do. Life is unpredictable. Clients become suddenly unwell, meetings change, transport options fail, childcare falls through, or they simply need to shift their appointment for any other reason. These moments create small windows in our booking calendar where – sometimes only a few hours long – a single session option becomes available again.

And for many you, these windows can become golden opportunities.

The Challenge: A Growing Community Means Bigger Waitlists

As more new clients join Advaya Healing, waitlists have become a regular part of our scheduling process. Many of you now book recurring sessions, typically weeks or even months in advance. This is wonderful for continuity of care, but it also means that spontaneous openings are rare – and, as we’re now experiencing – highly sought after.

Reinstating our Telegram or WhatsApp channels help bridge that gap.

If you are on a waitlist, these channels give you a real chance to step into a session sooner. Instead of waiting for an email or hoping for a text message, you receive a direct notification the moment a slot becomes available. And because the message goes to a small, dedicated group of clients who genuinely want these updates, the process feels fair, transparent, and efficient.

This matters if you’re not just looking for the ‘occasional’ treatment. Instead, if our work is an integral aspect of a self-care plan that’s often compromised by other priorities, being able to book impromptu sessions whenever they become available may become an invaluable convenience. This may be especially true when unexpectedly –

  • your body is processing more than usual
  • you’re working through emotional layers
  • you’re integrating trauma‑informed work

  • you’re navigating a stressful life event

  • you’re experiencing a healing breakthrough

  • you simply feel better with more frequent sessions

For you, a last‑minute session may simply be convenient. For others, an extra short-term treatment can be deeply meaningful. A sudden flare‑up of pain, a stressful week, a wave of emotional overwhelm, or an unexpected psycho-somatic breakthrough can all create an urgent need for bodywork support.

During these times, extra bodywork can make a profound difference. But booking additional sessions in an already full calendar can be difficult. This is where last‑minute openings become invaluable. A single cancellation can give you the opportunity to receive the support you need exactly when you need it. Our Telegram and WhatsApp channels can make that possible by giving you immediate access to these openings, whenever they occur.

We regularly hear things like:

  • “If you ever get a cancellation today, please let me know – I really need a session.”

  • “I’m on the waitlist, but if anything opens up, I can come in immediately.”

  • “I’m trying to book extra sessions this month. If someone cancels, I’ll take it.”

Any of these requests are usually heartfelt, genuine, and often fuelled by a sense of urgency. Until now, we couldn’t offer you a simple and effective way to help you claim these last-minute openings ‘on demand’.

We learned quickly that email is too slow. Text messaging – which is what we’re doing now – has become too impractical. Phone calls are too disruptive, time consuming and, frankly, cumbersome. Social media is too public.

“What we need is a direct, instant, and somewhat private way to help you stay informed about last-minute booking options. To solve that challenge we propose to reinstate either our Telegram or WhatsApp channel, which then allows you to subscribe to our updates for when you need them most…”

Why Telegram or WhatsApp?

To us, Telegram and WhatsApp are not just social platforms – they are communication tools. And in a healing practice like Advaya, where your and our timing matters, either allows us to stay connected in real time.

Both platforms allow us to solve our biggest challenge: immediacy. When a rescheduling or cancellation comes through, we can send a quick message to all group subscribers. Everyone who wants to know about last‑minute openings receives the update within seconds.

No delays. No clutter. No complicated systems. No need to check your email or refresh a webpage.

You are only notified when a slot becomes available. That’s it. No marketing, no promotions, no unnecessary chatter. When you no longer need our notifications, you can simply mute our channel or leave it anytime. You stay in control, always.

This solution serves you and helps us. When we can fill a cancelled session quickly, it supports the rhythm and continuity of our practice. It also ensures that you can receive the treatments you want – or need – on demand, at your choosing.

The Telegram app is recognisable by this logo.

  • Step 1 – Download Telegram and/or WhatsApp – If you don’t already have these apps installed on your phone, download them for free from either Play Store (Android) or Apple’s App Store. Then simply follow the steps to establish your account.
  • Step 2 – Be Invited – Once you established your account, send us your username or phone number through the form below. Because our Telegram and WhatsApp channels will be kept private to our Advaya clients, you can only subscribe on our invitation. You will receive a notification once we’ve given you access to the channel.

  • Step 3 – Monitor our Notifications – When you successfully subscribed to our channel(s) you will receive our Booking Availability Notifications automatically but only when we want to notify you of new available booking slots. The person who responds to our notifications first will receive the booking. You must respond with a typed message, indicating that you wish to take the notified booking opportunity, such as “Yes please!” or “I’ll take it!”. We will ignore emojis.

  • Step 4 – Receive Confirmation by Email – As with any other booking, you will receive an email from us to confirm your new appointment. Until then, you must consider your booking unconfirmed.

Making our Notification Channels Work for You…

As our practice continues to grow, we are seeing a clear trend. More clients –

  • are booking Intake Consultations

  • are beginning long‑term treatment programmes

  • are seeking regular Thoracic Release, Lymphatic Drainage, and Deep Pelvic Health work

  • are requesting additional sessions

Undoubtedly, Advaya’s continuous growth is both astounding and beautiful. It reflects the trust you and all our clients place in us and the genuine need for professional, respectful, trauma‑informed, and true embodied healing work. But it also means that availability will continue to tighten.

“Your healing doesn’t happen in a linear fashion. It moves in waves, cycles, and seasons. Some weeks you may feel steady and grounded; other weeks you may feel tender, overwhelmed, or in need of deeper support. Our role is to meet you where you are, with presence, skill, and compassion…”

Telegram and WhatsApp allow us to maintain flexibility within that fullness. They help you stay responsive to your real‑time needs, while we become better able to honour the natural flow of our practice. These channels are not just tools. Instead, we see them as extensions of our care. They help us support you more effectively, more immediately, and more personally.

From 1 July 2026 onward, these channels will become the primary way we communicate last‑minute openings. If you want to stay connected to the heartbeat of the schedule, joining one of these channels is the best way to do so. As Advaya Healing continues to grow, these channels will become an essential part of how we stay connected with you – and all our other clients.

We would love for you to be part of that connection and are looking forward to welcoming you to our reinstated Telegram or WhatsApp Notification Channel(s)…
