October Closure Announcement, Client Trends, and a Filled Booking Calendar…
Over the past three months, Advaya Healing Bodywork has experienced one of the most remarkable periods in our practice’s history. As we move through August and soon September, we are celebrating a record number of bookings, an influx of new clients, and a noticeable shift in the types of therapeutic work people are seeking. This surge has been both humbling and energising.
I believe it also speaks to a broader movement: people are becoming more attuned to their bodies, more curious about the deeper layers of somatic healing, and more willing to invest in long‑term therapeutic change. More people are becoming familiar with our work – and learn about how this can support them on their healing, recovery, and rehabilitation journeys.
With this momentum, I want to share an important update about our schedule, our evolving therapeutic landscape, and why the coming months are already becoming the most in‑demand months we’ve ever seen since Advaya’s inception ten years ago.
Advaya’s October Closure
That Advaya will be closed during November will be the first thing you may want to know.
Following many months of five-day work weeks, we will now be taking a long outstanding pause for the entire month of October. I will use this month to reconnect with my family in Europe and also to rethink our therapeutic programmes for 2027. I will take some time to plan the launches of new therapies, and to renew our existing portfolio of bodywork treatments, many of which already evolved ‘naturally’ this year.
I am also planning to continue some advanced clinical training and to update, review, and refine Advaya’s unique treatment protocols. This pause allows me to re-integrate the insights we gained from the extraordinary work we did with you, and, overall, to prepare for a powerful, fully‑aligned start of 2027.
All this ensures that when we reopen in November, and while preparing for the new year, we can do so with renewed visions, plans, clarity, and the grounded presence that has always defined our small, little practice.
Record Bookings in August & September: A Season of Growth and Transformation
The previous three months have been extraordinary. Juny, July, and August have brought a record number of bookings, resulting in many fully booked weeks in advance. This surge has come from both returning clients and a significant wave of new clients who have discovered our work through referrals, community conversations, and the growing recognition of our specialised therapeutic offerings.
What has stood out most is not just the number of bookings but the type of bookings. Both ‘old’ and new clients are overwhelmingly requesting Thoracic Release Treatments and Pelvic Health work.
This shift is meaningful. It tells me that most of you have become more aware of the deeper somatic patterns that shape your wellbeing. Naturally, armed with that insight, many of you sought therapies that go beyond surface‑level relief and instead address the structural, emotional, and energetic layers of your body.
Why Thoracic Release Treatments Are in Such High Demand
Your thoracic region – your rib cage, sternum, diaphragm, thoracic spine, and surrounding fascia – is one of the most emotionally and structurally significant areas of your body. It is the physical centre of your breath, the protective cage around your heart, and a major crossroads for your autonomic nervous system.
To me, the significant increase in bookings for this unique Advaya Bodywork treatment signals that more of you are feeling the effects of ‘modern life’. Many of you describe senses of “tightness” or “restriction” in your chest, difficulty taking full breaths, often chronic upper‑back tension, feelings of emotional heaviness or pressure, and postural fatigue from long hours at desks or devices.
Especially this year, Thoracic Release Treatments have proven to directly address these patterns. They helped many of you restore your mobility, expand your breath capacity, and release the often unnoticed but usually deep fascial restrictions that accumulated within you from stress, trauma, and habitual posture.
More of you increasingly recognised that emotional experiences are truly stored in your body – especially in the thoracic region. As our Thoracic Release Therapies – and our work generally – becomes more widely understood, I expect that from now on we will receive more clients who are seeking treatments that really help them access and release these stored patterns. Specifically, our Thoracic Release has already become a gateway for them: it can offer them immediate relief, deep emotional shifts, and a profound sense of reconnection with their body.
Advaya’s Pelvic Health Work: The Quiet Revolution in Bodywork
Alongside Thoracic Release Treatments, Pelvic Health work has become our second-most requested sessions among new clients. I see this as a powerful and encouraging trend, because pelvic health is foundational to whole‑body wellbeing – yet traditionally overlooked, not offered, or blatantly misunderstood.
This year I learned that many women still mistrust Pelvic Health Bodywork, in parts because the pelvic region is intimate, medically complex, and historically underserved by clear public education. What seems to contribute more to their mistrust is miscommunication, inconsistent practitioner training, and past boundary violations in the wider health sector which, of course, has greatly contributed to their hesitance to seeking such treatments – even when these are absolutely needed. Clearly, and as we all know, when touch involves sensitive anatomy such as your pelvic region, even minor misunderstandings can escalate into complaints or litigation, keeping this field under heightened scrutiny.
Yet, as the last few months have taught me, many of you are actually seeking professional, reliable, and trustworthy treatments of your pelvis. Many of you spoke about unresolved chronic pelvic tension, lower‑back discomfort, hip mobility issues, and postural instability. In many cases, you also mentioned senses of “disconnect” from your lower body and emotional patterns held in your pelvic region, all of which increased your interests in our trauma‑informed pelvic work.
As our Pelvic Health Therapies continue to evolve and mature, you’ve helped it move from a niche and largely ignored topic to a mainstream conversation. With that you’ve learned that any pelvic tension can affect everything – posture, breath, digestion, emotional regulation, sexual wellbeing, and overall vitality.
I really believe that this surge in Pelvic Health bookings actually reflects a cultural shift: all those of you who booked these sessions showed a readiness to really address the root causes of pelvic discomfort rather than simply manage symptoms.
The Impact of These Trends on Our Booking Calendar
With so many of you now seeking thoracic and pelvic work, on top of our other treatments, our calendar is filling faster than ever before. September is almost fully booked.
Many of you are now booking November sessions early. Because of the October closure, most of you who are keen to receive regular treatments have already begun booking their November sessions. Many new clients, eager to continue their therapeutic progress, are now doing the same. As a result, November bookings are becoming increasingly limited – far earlier than usual. The end of this year is rapidly becoming the busiest period in our practice’s history.
I strongly recommend booking your November sessions now! I want to ensure that every client – including you – can (still) book sessions in November. Availability is already tightening, and we expect that month to reach full capacity well before September begins.
A Message of Gratitude
Despite all its oddities, the upheavals, and general chaos, this year has been extraordinary for Advaya. The trust you placed in our work, the challenges you brought to each session, and the commitment you showed to your own healing journey made Advaya Healing Bodywork the practice it has become today.
I cannot express how honoured I feel to support you, and how inspired I often feel by your courage to take life’s challenges head on, authentically and intentionally.
While October will be for me a month of retreat I am already looking forward to returning in November with fresh energy, expanded capability, and the same compassionate presence that has always defined Advaya.
Finally, just to emphasize this – book Your November sessions today! These are already becoming limited, and early booking ensures you have access to the times and treatments that best support your healing.
